We are partnering with Hartford Yard Goats again this year on Friday, August 9th and Thursday, August 29th providing some baseball fun for families and people currently in shelters in the City of Hartford. Your support is always needed and appreciated in our efforts to make this community event meaningful to everyone. We believe everyone deserves a place called home. Let’s show our appreciation for some extraordinary nonprofit organizations and the people they serve.

Power Thru the Powder Weekend on February 2nd and February 3rd is one of the largest adaptive skiing and snowboarding events for people with different abilities and disabilities in the Northeast. A weekend filled with inspiration on and off the slopes, networking families to one another as well as recognizing and bringing visibility to many incredible nonprofit organizations in the community. Dollar Giving is looking for runners for the Hartford Marathon to give back to the Hartford community. Registration can be completed online with an initial donation of $100 which will complete your entry into the Hartford Marathon. Fundraising you complete will go toward nonprofits in Hartford including Hands on Hartford. Their MANNA food programs provide basic needs to thousands of individuals in Hartford each month. Through Community Meals, Backpack Nutrition Program and Pantry & Neighborhood Services, Hands on Hartford provides many supportive services to those in need. Dollar Giving will provide a personal Campaign page upon registration for individual fundraising.

Assisting homeless people improve their life situation through housing and supportive services, South Park Inn serves nearly 1,500 adults and children each year. This campaign will replace old bags and trash bags with new duffel bags for ten individuals looking to rebuild their lives.

We are running a quick campaign to help the McKinney Men's Shelter raise $150 in order to buy new duffel bags and backpacks. The 78-bed shelter offers overnight beds, dinner, breakfast, and showers. A day program for men with medical needs operates at the shelter. Staff helps with housing, jobs, counseling, drug/alcohol use, mental illness, HIV/AIDS and other issues. Lunch is offered to day program participants.
