Kevin Prechtl

Kevin Prechtl

Associate Director, Technology

Originally from Southern California, Kevin transplanted to the East Coast to attend the University of Massachusetts. After graduation, Kevin worked in sales for Hyatt Hotels in New York City and then transitioned to the United Nations with ARAMARK to manage the UN’s restaurants and catering operations. After five amazing years in New York, he and his fiancée moved outside of Hartford, CT to attend the University of Connecticut and complete their MBAs.

Freshly minted with an MBA, Kevin joined a leadership program with a Connecticut based healthcare company in the summer of 2007 and over the next several years took on increasing responsibility managing a team of sales professionals. He then transitioned to project management in international compliance and in 2014 Kevin joined the National Accounts Underwriting team and can be found poring over large amounts of data evaluating population risk as he helps national account clients find solutions to keeping their teams healthy.

So why Dollar Giving?

Kevin and his wife have been blessed with four amazing children and have benefited from many organizations that have supported their family as they navigate through the web of services provided to children with growth and learning delays. Partnerships with the American School for the Deaf, Birth to Three, March of Dimes, YMCA, Trinity Lutheran Church, Tolland Public Schools and many other amazing individuals have helped his children grow, flourish and develop into kids who enjoy soccer, baseball, dance and gymnastics.

Organizations such as these help children and families at their most vulnerable times and are constantly facing funding challenges. As equity markets, state budgets and the economy ebb and flow, unsteady funding leaves these organizations having to make difficult decisions on how many families they can support with shrinking budgets. So how do we help?

Wanting to do more in uncertain times, Dollar Giving was an idea Kevin and two of his colleagues developed in order to do more for their community using the skills they have developed in the workforce.  Designed to provide additional fundraising support, Dollar Giving can support organizations that are doing great work but find themselves short of the required funds to support their community.  Dollar Giving uses the power of social media to help thousands who need help today.  Donate today and every month whatever amount you are comfortable with and Dollar Giving will show you how your small donation is impacting the organizations you support.
