About the Campaign
Help homeless veterans in Hartford get back on their feet by supporting the South Park Inn Transitional Living Program. Participants come from the shelter or the streets and have the ability to stay at South Park Inn for up to two years, and work with a professional to set and accomplish goals to change their lives.
This program accommodates up to 33 homeless men who are motivated to make substantive changes. A Service Coordinator works with each resident to develop three or four goals which most often center around obtaining or increasing income, seeking or continuing treatment for mental or physical illness, substance abuse treatment or increasing education or training.
Formed in 1982, South Park Inn has provided a continuum of programs and services for people that are homeless for the last thirty five years. From weekly Street Outreach to Supportive Housing programs, they work hard to make sure their clients solve the problems that led to their homelessness and become stronger individuals in our community.
